Talley’s nomination now has to go to the full Senate, which is also expected to approve his appointment on a party-line vote despite objections from civil rights groups. Still, none of this detracted from my enjoyment of this sci-fi/horror novel. and therefore had no clue as to what had really happened to one of the characters in the end. Talley is a man with talent, and this book certainly makes him an author to watch. as in, they happened from one paragraph to the next two, I kind of lost track of the 'science' behind what was going on. It’s a spooky, atmospheric fantasy story that pays loving homage to its roots while potentially serving as a springboard to more fascinating horror/fantasy. My only beef is with two minor things: one, there were point of view shifts that sometimes weren't separated clearly. more even though it got off to a bit of a slow start - and had an interesting plot.

Review 2: What a wild read! Such an interesting concept. Overall it was a solid read and will definitely be on board for any of Mr. I did think it was a bit slow for my taste which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I also enjoyed where the book went and didn't have a problem turning the pages to get to the end. Talley's previous book 'That which should not be.' I enjoyed the premise and I felt that it was an appropriate length without dragging out. It dealt with a more psychological horror, or a fear of the unknown, than physical which is much different from Mr. Review 1: I found this a difficult book to rate because I did not find it particularly exciting but I liked it nonetheless.
